THINGS TO KNOW

Matt Kuchar sets 54- and 72-hole tournament record en route to eighth career PGA TOUR win.

Following rounds of 64-64-65, posted a 2-under 69 in the final round to set the 72-hole tournament record and claim a one-stroke win at 22-under 262.

Eighth career PGA TOUR win comes at the age of 40 years, 4 months, 21 days.

Collects 500 FedExCup points and moves from T173 to No. 5h in the standings.

Victory brings a two-year exemption, taking him through the 2020-21 season.

With the win, earns a return visit to the Sentry Tournament of Champions for the first time since 2015 (T17).

Made 26 birdies against four bogeys on the week.

First time to post four rounds in the 60s in a PGA TOUR event since the 2017 The RSM Classic (69-68-68-69/T29).

Victory comes in his 116th start since claiming his last win (2014 RBC Heritage).

Becomes the sixth player to convert a 54-hole lead/co-lead into victory at the Mayakoba Golf Classic.

MEXICAN PLAYER NOTES

Four Mexican players made the cut, matching the most in tournament history (2017): Armando Favela (-14/T16), Abraham Ancer (-13/T21), Oscar Fraustro (-9T41), Jose de Jesus Rodriguez (-6/T55), Sebastian Vazquez (MC), Roberto Diaz (MC) and Carlos Ortiz (MC).

Esteban Toledo (2007, 2008, 2009, 2012), Jose de Jesus Rodriquez (2009, 2012, 2018), Oscar Fraustro (2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018), Carlos Ortiz (2014, 2016, 2017), Rodolfo Cazaubon (2015), Abraham Ancer (2017, 2018), Roberto Diaz (2017) and Armando Favela (2018) are the only Mexicans to make the cut in the Mayakoba Golf Classic in the 12-year history of the event .
