HISTORY

Marshal:

Enforce crowd control on the golf course primarily through regulating spectator traffic at course crosswalks, tee boxes and putting greens. Signal for quiet as players address the ball and make their shots. Also help players by spotting balls, watching for errant shots and providing easy access from hole to hole.

Golf Knowledge:
Not required, but is certainly helpful.

Physical Demands:
Little walking is involved, but marshals spend most of their time in the sun and on their feet. So, sunscreen and plenty of water are recommended. Small, portable, camping-style chairs are permitted for marshals.

Shifts:
Each shift is approximately six hours long with morning and afternoon shifts on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; and just one shift on Saturday and Sunday.

Walking Scorer:

Enter scores, statistics and other information into a PDA-type handheld device while walking the entire round inside the ropes with the PGA TOUR players. Walking scorers are responsible for creating the live scoring and live statistics that are shared with the golf world through PGATOUR.com and the GOLF CHANNEL television broadcast.

Golf Knowledge:
Significant golf knowledge is required for all walking scorers as you will be inside the ropes for the duration of the round. A complete grasp of golf etiquette is essential as well.

Physical Demands:
All walking scorers must be in good physical condition in order to keep pace walking with the professional golfers as they play their round. The ability to walk more than 7,000 yards in hot temperatures is essential.

Shifts:
Each walking scorer must commit to working four (4) days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and one weekend day either Saturday or Sunday. Shifts are approximately five and a half hours.

Standard Bearer:

Walk with a group of PGA TOUR players for 18 holes and carry standard sign displaying each player's score in relation to par. Standard bearers allow on-site spectators to easily tell which PGA TOUR pros are in a group and what their scores are.

Golf Knowledge:
Minimal knowledge of the game of golf and golf etiquette is needed to be a standard bearer.

Physical Demands:
All standard bearers must be in good physical condition in order to keep pace walking with the professional golfers as they play their round. The ability to walk more than 7,000 yards while carrying the standard sign in hot temperatures is essential.

Shifts:
Each standard bearer must commit to working three (3) days: Thursday, Friday and one weekend day either Saturday or Sunday. Shifts are approximately five and a half hours.

Shuttle Driver:

Drive shuttles for PGA TOUR players and caddies on holes with significant distances between green and tee. Must be able to drive a golf cart in a safe and quiet manner on the course. Shuttle drivers are important to help maintain the proper pace of play.

Golf Knowledge:
Not required, but is certainly helpful. Shuttle drivers must be aware of the action around them and be sure not to distract golfers in the vicinity of their shuttle route.

Physical Demands:
Little to no walking is involved, but all shuttle drivers must be able to spend extended amounts of time in the sun and heat.

Shifts:
Each shuttle driver must commit to working four (4) days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and one weekend day either Saturday or Sunday. Shifts are approximately six hours.

Ambassador Partner:

Local business, group, club or charitable organization which teams with the Mayakoba Golf Classic to organize its members or employees as MGC Ambassadors to develop a positive relationship with and support México's Only PGA TOUR Event.
